The essential data for the proper recommendation of a mechanical seal include the type of equipment, the pumped fluid and its chemical characteristics, pressure, temperature, shaft speed, equipment material, and required standards. These elements guide the definition of the design configuration and the materials to be used.

4. How long does a mechanical seal last?
The service life of a mechanical seal is not fixed, as it depends directly on the operating conditions and installation. When correctly specified, installed, and operated within the design limits, the mechanical seal may provide an extended service life.

5. Do Malavazi products have a warranty?

Yes. New products come with a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Mechanical seal recovery services come with a 90-day warranty, in accordance with the conditions established by Malavazi. Please consult our specialists for the applicable terms and conditions. 

6. Is recovery always more advantageous than purchasing a new mechanical seal?
Not necessarily. In some cases, replacement with a new mechanical seal may be technically more appropriate, particularly when there is significant structural damage or the possibility of recurring failures.

7. How does the mechanical seal recovery process work?

The process involves disassembly, detailed inspection, replacement or machining of critical parts, assembly in accordance with applicable standards, and bench testing. The objective is to recover technically viable components and assess the condition of the mechanical seal before it returns to operation. 

8. Does recovery compromise the quality or service life of the mechanical seal?
When carried out by a specialized company, using technical criteria and functional testing, recovery makes it possible to determine whether the mechanical seal is in suitable condition to return to operation.

9. Do recovered mechanical seals have a warranty?

Yes. The warranty is valid provided that the recovery is performed in accordance with established technical standards and validated through functional testing. 10. What are the main signs that a mechanical seal needs replacement or recovery?
Leakage above acceptable limits, increased temperature, excessive vibration, unusual noises, or visible wear on components indicate the need for intervention.

11. Can I use a mechanical seal available in stock with the same dimensions?
It depends. Even when the dimensions are compatible, the materials specified in the design may not be suitable for different applications. Using the mechanical seal without this evaluation may compromise its reliability. Therefore, a thorough technical analysis is required to verify compatibility with the operating conditions.

12. What are the dispatch department's business hours?

Answer: The dispatch department is available for carrier pickups from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pickups outside these hours are not available.
